So excited…

I’m so excited I can barely contain myself. I’m trying to hold it in until everything falls in place, but do you know how hard that actually is?! In three to four weeks, everything will be sorted and I’ll be on our way to our new home. Gareth will be a few weeks behind me to finish up here in Amsterdam. In the next few weeks, we need to pick up the kittens’ passports, get them used to their new carriers, sell all our stuff (if we can’t get a decent moving rate), and paint and pull up the floors. No easy task, but it will be worth it in the end when I finally start my new job!

Until then, we are touring around the country. Yesterday was King’s Day, so much fun, by the way! And Friday, we are off to Keukenhof. I can’t wait!

Home

This is our home for just a bit longer. By the end of the month, we’ll have a better idea of what’s happening with our future. I will miss the Fietspad so much. I absolutely love riding my bike. Never imagined I would say that again, but I am. I’m ready for our next adventure. Bring it on!IMG_20160421_131800

April Flowers

It’s been a long few weeks. Never before have I been so thankful for Spring to arrive. The dull grey skies have been unending. Also, I’ve been waiting for news and the wait seems to make time passing go much more slowly. A couple weeks ago, I decided I need to get out of the house and away from the computer for a bit. I booked at tour to Keukenhof in South Holland.

Luckily, the weather cooperated and it was a gorgeous day!

I  have been wanting to visit tulip fields since our arrival in The Netherlands, but after waiting 10 months, I finally had the chance to see the awe inspiring landscapes. Unfortunately, many tulip fields weren’t in bloom, but Gareth has agreed to a trip down in a week or two for a picnic and exploration of Keukenhof.

BUT I saw some beautiful tulips! It was an experiences I won’t soon forget.
